Jin Shin Do®: BodyMind Acupressure™ Basic Class
April 3-8, 2011 Sunday night–Friday afternoon
At the Kripalu Yoga Institute, Berkshire Mountains, Lenox, Mass.
For massage therapists, bodyworkers, health-care providers and interested individuals.
Jin Shin Do (JSD) is a gentle form of Japanese acupressure that accesses the bodymind through
the meridian system. It is an exceptionally effective tool for addressing physical pain and
dysfunction. JSD uses finger pressure to stimulate acupoints, a process that relieves tension and
assists natural healing processes through the integration of body, mind, emotions, and spirit.
With lecture, discussion, point location, visual aides, demonstration, and student practice, you will
learn to:
This basic JSD class is safe and effective and can be used to supplement other integrated
approaches to healing, including massage therapy.
Note This 40-hour workshop can be taken as part of a 500-hour approved licensure program or as
an individual CEU class. Tuition includes a book, working manual, handouts, and body charts.

Description: Expansion of consciousness, like that happening in relation to the prophecies of 2012,
is more than a shift in paradigm. It’s a shift in our bodies, energy structures and levels of
awareness. It facilitates direct perception of the energy world we live in. As consciousness
expands, our vehicle itself is changing. In this lecture we will discuss:

- Locate, assess, and use 55 key acupoints
- Relieve local areas of pain and dysfunction and integrate acupressure into a full-body
massage - Practice body focusing and emotional processing skills
- Balance your own energy using qigong and hara breathing
- Do a full-body assessment and create session plans.
This basic JSD class is safe and effective and can be used to supplement other integrated
